Fancy Stage Announcement and Minor Bug Fix Leads to Infinite Possibilities

Trashtastic will host 50 levels i thought it would be nice of me to let the player know exactly what level it is they are playing. I’ve added a new Level Announcement at the start of each stage. The text pops up as the player starts moving and disappears shortly afterwards. The really cool thing about this announcement is it will include Voice Acting! You can view the (sound-less) gif below:

Since my last update i have created all 10 Level maps. Now that i am populating the maps with spiders and trash i’ve come to realise i needed to quickly fix a small bug before continuing. The bug being the sun marker moving outside of the eco-meter when points got to high. This really limited my creativity on each stage, as i was only able to place 25 spiders and 25 trash pieces. So instead i made a small script to clamp the sun marker to a certain range, this way i can have an unlimited number of enemies and rewards for the player to collect and it will not break the meter. Because the eco-meter size is relative to the player’s screen resolution and the sun marker moves based on frame integers i had to set a different clamp range according to separate resolution settings. Luckily for me, Android devices currently only come in a small range of resolutions.
